Your Underwear is Slowly Killing You
What if the clothes we wear are slowly killing us? Poisoning us everyday with toxic chemicals that we can't "feel" at the moment, but will over time. This is the truth behind synthetic clothing. They simply are not good for us, and they disrupt our hormones. I have been wearing mostly natural/organic materials for over two years now. Not only are they non-toxic, but they also feel and look better.
It's time to break free from some all of the synthetic BS in our life, and live more naturally both inside and out.

Why I Sleep on the Floor | Japanese Futon 4-Year Update
Просмотров 263 тыс.5 месяцев назад
Modern beds are a scam. They are not designed with our back or sleep in mind. We are constantly being sold on "new technology" when this new technology only affects our health further, and makes the pockets of mattress companies richer. While it might be weird to sleep on the floor. I truly believe Shikibutons are the perfect "solve" to the issues I addressed in this video. Are you willing to g...

Please don't just mindlessly throw away stuff. No matter how badly it may affect your subjective health. Endless piles of garments end up in landfills and will affect everything from there on. So, yeah. Transition. Be careful. But don't be wasteful. Not even for the good cause! Be better. Find a way to wear these things till the end.

I worked a few years in physical therapy and learned that 4 modern inventions have ruined human physiology and health: Beds Chairs Sitting toilets Shoes They all take away lots of muscular, skeletal and joint mobility and stability, since they all support the body "too" much. Over time the structures that are there to be moved and put under constant light (good) working stress regularly, weaken and become dysfunctional and cause lots of problems. Sure, it's not the holy grail. But consider that comfort at all costs is probably paid with your overall health. #degrowth #slowlife #minimalism #fckComfort

Great video. When I lived in San Francisco, I had two large walk in closets. In one closet I had a futon mattress that fit in the closet perfectly and I slept like that and had great ...some of the best sleep I have had. Esp if I wanted a blackout sleep I could close the doors. When I have slept in super cushy beds it takes me a long time to fall asleep....plus evening being on what I have not is raised bed but futon mattress but low and also find it is much easier to do any exercises in bed. In a soft bed it is much hard if you are always sinking like a ship LOL. Even as a kid I would often sleep on the floor and my Mom would fuss asking why when I have my own bed. As an athlete as a kid and into the teens I felt so much better actually sleeping on the floor, mind you this was carpet no just hardwood and would put blankets down.

I don’t wear barefoot shoes. But all my toes are spread out and healthy because I never wear shoes in the house (or outside) and the only other times I get out of the house that’s not my workplace is the MMA gym. All my athletic endeavours are barefoot. So yeah, even if I have safety boots on at work 8 hours a day, I’m barefoot enough in physical activities to not get adversely affected by conventional footwear.

Jesus Christ died for your sins. Will you accept him as your saviour? His blood paid the atonement for the sins of everybody and he’s waiting for you to come to him for the pardon And thats not religion. Religion worldwide in every form is man coming up with ways to please a higher power and GAIN acceptance from the higher power. The Bible teaches how you can have a personal relationship with the one that PAID for your acceptance to God, and did it by dying on the cross. Jesus blood pays for your sin completely and God will only accept that payment for your sins. Receive him today.

For 20+ years, I had to wear suits for work. I tried to find ways to ditch the synthetics, but to buy bespoke wool suits was way out of my budget. Now that I'm out of a corp office space, I can work in natural clothing. Over the past 5 years, I have slowly replaced 95% of my clothing with natural fibers. Linen is the best in summer, and nothing regulates temperature better in the cold seasons than wool. Some cotton, silk, and alpaca are added in there, too. Wearing the fibers God created are the healthiest for our skin and well-being. Imagine that! 😅 Now I'm working on replacing all other fabrics in my home; I'd say I'm about 95% there - just need to replace the mattress and living room furniture next. Trying to find 100% natural fibers is not only difficult but expensive as well. Polyester drapes - very affordable; linen drapes - $200/panel. Ouch. Nope - had to search for all cotton drapes; took a while to find them, and they were still 5x the average synthetic. :/

Good points. At home I go barefoot unless in the winter; northern USA is darn cold. Then I wear the great Softstar fireside slippers which are nothing but sheepskin sewn into footwear. Almost barefoot. But the reality is that out in public places, we need footwear. I try to wear minimal shoes as much as possible. But after 3 years of wearing minimal shoes, I have to admit that no matter how carefully I avoid heel-striking and try to walk softly, modern flooring (concrete, blacktop, tile) is a killer on my feet and knees. In those cases, I need a little more cushion to protect me from modern flooring. Yes, God designed our feet to function perfectly without shoes. But God's design was for us to walk around the Garden of Eden - not in a commercial, tiled building or paved parking lot. :/ So - I'm trying to find wide, flexible, zero-drop shoes that have a little more cushion in the sole.

I like your videos, the work you put into and your approach in general, I subscribed and this one is the 9th I watched. I personaly keep myself of drinking raw milk as well as pasteurised milk in the liquid form, I prefer to eat cheese that you can pre-digest by chewing properly. My choice (better safe than sorry) is motivated by the following that are worth mentionning for me. The pasteurisation process of milk is also to 'deactivate' numerous growth hormons destined to calfs cow, that humans are not. These hormons can have some effects, like making a prostate growth twice the regular size on human, which may lead to prostatic cancer among what I remember from the work of an oncologist (professor Henry Joyeux) and his recommendations for health througout food, sport, among other things. The effects you experienced are interesting though, even if not for me cause I'm healthy on my own path still evolving. Keep the good work, and greetings from France.

The aesthetics of you sleeping on a futon in Japanese is beautiful. When you sleep on your futon at home, however, your bedroom looks like a poor college student. It's not easy to make a futon in a bedroom look good and inviting.

That's probably a socially trained imperial core / "western" perception. Once in other countries, especially Asian, this isn't considered or felt uninviting. A traditional Japanese Ryokan for example, can be minimalistic to western minds, but has very pleasant aesthetics and is very inviting. But maybe that's just my opinion;)

@@yt_n-c0de-r My comment is more of a damnation on cheap housing, made with drywall and wall-to-wall polyester carpeting. A futon on the floor in these cookie-cutter spaces looks low rent. There's a way in the West to use a futon beautifully but few people know how to do so. A great example is to Google search: Donald Judd 101 Spring Street
